Draft Minutes of the Extraordinary confidential meeting of Dittisham Parish Council held in Dittisham Village Hall, on Wednesday 9 November 2011 at 6.30 p.m.

Present: Cllrs J Walker (Chair), M Faulkner, A Stevens, S Stothart, J Tucker, P Unitt, H Watson.

118/11  Confidential status of the meeting.

The motion that the meeting be confidential by reason of dealing with employment issues was approved (proposed Cllr Tucker, seconded Cllr Stothart).

119/11 Discussion of report from the meeting of Councillors held on 20 October 2011 to discuss the Parish Clerk role

Following the resignation of the Parish Clerk, the following points were agreed (proposed Cllr Stothart, seconded Cllr Faulkner):

· The Parish Council would seek to appoint a new Clerk from 1 January 2012, or as soon thereafter as possible.

· A Working Party, comprising Cllrs Walker (Chair), Faulkner, Stevens, Stothart and Unitt, would progress the appointment to short-listing stage.

· The role would be advertised at 45 hours p.c.m., with the offer of a dedicated phone line/ansaphone funded by the Parish Council.

The meeting closed at 7.05 p.m.
